Time needed: 10 - 15 mins
Short description of the lesson: Students will look at a chart to determine their technology abilities and use this information to decide which type of digitial project meets their skill level

The student self assessment chart should be used before each digital project starts. Students will self assess their technology skill level to determine the type of digital project that is in their individual comfort zone.

Short description of the lesson: Explain each person has a unique login to the computer, three attempts to login and a unique place to save work. Practice creating powerpoints, documents and saving to the correct place on the network. I usually include: businesses all have networks of computers tied together and this allows sharing of files, projects, etc. Usually a good discussion of questions about Internet and networks and how they are different.
